With Thanksgiving around the corner, I’ve been more aware of the power of gratitude. I’m going to be sharing some of the things I’m grateful for in my life and I’d love to hear about what you’re grateful for. I’ll start with my ** fun ** list.
Here’s my top 8 for today
I am grateful…
1. That election campaigns are over so we can get back to the “real news”
2. That So Cal rarely gets below 72 degrees (and yes…we pay for that luxury)
3. For my delete button that easily eliminates spam and over-zealous internet marketer emails
4. For online traffic school for those *rare* occasions when I get sloppy and break a traffic rule.:)
5. For Twitter, Facebook and some days Myspace for being a brand new compulsion/addiction for me to force myself to delegate.
6. For all of the great friends and colleagues I reconnected with recently at 2 amazing events.
7. For a team that supports my vision and encourages me to be the leader and CEO I need to be to make this business exactly what I want.
8. Chocolate. That’s it. I’m just grateful for chocolate. And for the wonderful chocolate gifts I start getting around this time of year. (PS truffles are my favorite in case you are wondering. Chocolate-covered strawberries are 2nd.)
NOW, share your list of 8!
P.S. Remember…gratitude focus helps you attract more of what you DO want. =-)

Melanie, thanks for sharing your list. You’ve inspired me to write my own!
Eight things I am grateful for
1. A faithful and loving God
2. An amazing family that still loves to laugh and spend time together
3. Four healthy grown children that all have big hearts
4. To live in a great county where I’m free to pursue my dreams
5. The opportunity to own a business, serve others, and control my destiny
6. The many friends and fellow entrepreneurs I’ve met – thanks for inspiring me!
7. I’ve been able to go ‘cold turkey’ and turn off all TV news, talk radio, and I no longer read any newspapers. It is true; if you eliminate all negative input you will feel amazingly positive!
8. I’ve been cancer free for 5 years!

Today I am grateful…
Today it seems so strange to me that I survived the first 44 years of my life never hearing of a “gratitude list”…how can that be?
More than two years later, I wonder, was I never grateful enough to write it down, or was I too afraid to put my thoughts on paper for fear they might expose me?
Today I know the truth is the latter…somehow along the way I learned that the written word had a permanence and power, with consequences that I could only see as negative. There was danger there, even if I didn’t know what I was afraid of.
Today I share in the joy of expressing myself in words, pictures, and even doodles, because I have embraced that power - that very same power I only new as negative, now is the key to my serenity.
Today when I put my thoughts on paper they become alive. And when I share them with others, they are real and most importantly, they no longer scare me. I choose to allow myself to believe that the collective support of those sharing really can manifest my dreams.
So today I am grateful for…
-knowing that a power greater than myself does work in my life in miraculous ways.
-accepting the peace I feel when I allow myself to just “BE”.
-sharing love in my life with my family, my daughter, my partner, my friends and kind, gentle strangers.
-wondering at nature, and all her amazing gifts.
-appreciating the power of the ocean, and the healing it brings to me and those I love.
-nourishing myself and strengthening my physical being.
-using my intellect and my voice as an instrument for awareness and change.
-knowing and accepting the existence of pure joy.
-appreciating the incredible women who are my teachers, mentors, and supporters, who gently push me to face my fears and remind me that anything is possible!
-allowing myself to dream BIG (after all these years) and to acknowledge that playing “small” no longer serves me or the universe.
In the spirit of wisdom, wellness and prosperity…
I wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving!
