Montana Golf Ball Thief Gets Massive Publicity

My dad sent this video to me (I’ve finally trained my family only to send me the best of the best to minimize my junk mail.) It’s a hilarous little clip about a sneaky golf ball thief.

What occurs to me though as I watched the video is how much free publicity this golf course got because of a quirky situation. Making time to capitalize on the quirky opportunities can truly generate serious visibility for your business.

Another example of this I learned from a woman named Kelleen, who is a member of Dan Kennedy’s Gold Plus program. Kelleen (and I’m blanking on her last name right now). Kelleen initiated a direct mail campaign where she used people in guerrilla suits to deliver packages to her prospects. She ended up with great publicity as the news captured how the city had been besieged by guerrillas!
