Yep, you are not alone, and I'm learning a lot of people are in pain around this. I've re-invented my business to help support people who are ready to leap and feel trapped by unaligned choices. Kudos for finding yourself again Angie!

Melanie, I saw you speak at several of the "gurus" events in 2008/2009. I was totally trapped in the internet marketing/million dollar mindset whirlpool. After taking on an exhausting amount of debt (that I'm still working on paying down), I experienced my own "Dark Night." Thankfully, in working with a gifted healer from 2009 through today, I have had so many revelations about "my true self" and what I'm here to do. And it's glorious to understand I'm here to have fun, to allow others to have fun, and to be and give love. All of this is wrapped neatly into my business helping people get out of overwhelm. They come to me to figure out how to do more, better...until I gently guide them in my philosphy of doing less, well. Thank you so much for authentically sharing your story. I'm grateful to hear it and can identify so much with it.

I just came across this article today and it is still relevant and poignent and really struck a cord with me. I was about ot write an article on my blog about New beginings as here in the UK many children go back to school or start school for the first time tomorrow. (Sept.5th) .
I set some goals at the begining of the year and have not achieved them, I want to set up a parenting network and coach parents on all aspects of their life, children in particular. I realize I have been holding back and my message and gift is too great to keep locked away, so now I'm going to pretend to be that new kid going to school and try out smething new in my community in support of parents and their children, so their children can gorw up happy and secure and learn from our successes as well as our failures and be comfortable admitting them too.
Thank you, your name has been familiar for a long time but I'd never really 'looked at 'your work until today. Totally
Inspiratiional!

Excellent article. So natural! It takes courage to reflect and come up with lessons learned. Thanks.
Lessons learned-
1. Even though I made bigger income goals for 2009, I had to make several course corrections, bearing in mind that my WHY is more important than the goal itself. My WHY. was to spend more time with my family and provide for my childrens' education. Well as a family we had challenges such as facing lay off, reducing my income goal, etc-but when I focused on my WHY, it helped me to courageously take two steps back, to go one step forward. Success came to me as my children getting scholarship, part time jobs to pay for their tuition ( my income was meant for that).
2. Do your best to do one marketing activity every day. When we are not making a sale, focus on learning something, by reading articles like this one, listening to an audio etc and keep preparing for the unknown opportunity, so that when the opportunity shows up, you are prepared to grab it( the so called LUCK).
3. Let go of pushing for something, but keep on working on YOURSELF, so that something pulls you forward.

thanks Rhonda...I know it's a big one to get the "RELAX" lesson. Sometimes slowing down does help us speed up in the long run. =-)

Susan, what a sweet thing to say..."don't ever lose that quality." I think I did lose it for awhile and it's because I lost that connection with me. I'm back. I'm glad. And I'm happy that it positively affects others. So looking forward to seeing you soar this year!

Hi Brian, so great to hear how just one session shifted you into such a powerful place of focus. I know you are on fire now...and glad that just one tweak to a brilliant business person can create huge outcomes. You rock!

I agree Isabel, and I've seen the damage not being transparent is doing to people who beat themselves up not understanding why they can't achieve what others do. Thanks for stopping by to leave your comment!
