<description>Thanks, this article came at the perfect time today! I had recently told the board I was on that I was not coming back for next year--it was just simply taking up too much of my time and energy. (There are weeks I recorded 10+hours of volunteer work for them.) And now they are promising to make changes so it won't be so bad next year and I was wavering. But I've been complaining lately that I have absolutely no personal life--and now I realize I must say stick with my no if I ever hope to have one because it IS a direct trade-off.
